Comprised of 3 layers of the same size hex-shaped steel, these handmade sets give you the perfect accent sound.  Their unique trashy sound will create a sharp attack without being overpowering to help you stand out from the ordinary!
 
Unique features:
All of our metal is hand cut, hand hammered and manually heat-treated before being sealed with a clear gloss finish.
Each hex-shaped piece is hammered on both sides leaving unique indentations and protrusions on each surface.  They will never lay flat against each other. 
Due to the random hammering patterns, simply changing the order of the layers or flipping one over will give you a different sound characteristic.
The heat treatment gives each one a unique set of colors while creating its individual sound.
Due to being handmade, while they will blend together, no two pieces will be exactly alike.
Most stacks on the market are made of 2 layers, we’ve added a 3rd layer for more adaptability, creativity and depth to your sound.
 
Our Hex Stax are meant to be played as a set of 3 layers or more. We do not recommend playing them as a single layer. You will not achieve the desired, trashy sound with only one layer.
 
Hex Stax are available in odd sizes from 5" all the way up to 15".
 
How versatile are they???  Well, to change the sound up, you can simply:
Change the order of the layers or flip one or two over.
Tighten or loosen your stand’s wingnut.
Add another Hex Stax layer or two of a different size.
Add one of our many jingles beneath the Stax.
Use a large size set as a trashy FX ride cymbal.
Put a larger size in a snare stand and use it as a “hip-hop” snare drum.
Add a smaller set to your snare drum using our FX Post and Utility Clutch to keep it close but out of the way.
 
Your sound should be as unique as you are because no two drummers are alike!
 
As you change the sizes, the pitch and volume will change as well, the smaller the size, the higher the pitch, the lower the volume. The possibilities are truly endless!
