We’ve put together the Snare Stax Set to give you all the components needed to keep these Stax right on your snare  drum.  Made with three 6” layers of our thickest Hex Metal, this  set of Stax will give you the metallic sound you’re looking for,  right where you want it.  No need to remove a cymbal or add another stand to your setup. Having it on the FX Post makes for an ideal placement for cross-sticking action.  It’s primary design was to be used on the snare drum, however, you can also put it on your hi-hat rod.
 
You’ll get a sharp, focused, metallic sound with these Stax that you can change up by:
Tightening or loosening the clutch to change the tension on the Stax.
Hitting the Stax with the tip or the shoulder of your stick.
Adding an additional layer or two of different size Hex Stax (up to 8”).
Adding a modular jingle layer, with jingles down, to still get the Stax sound with a little extra.
 
This is a modular item, so you will be able to take it apart, change the order of layers, and mix and match its components with all your other CP modular and Metal FX items.  Having the Utility Clutch XL gives you the extra space to add products like other Stax sizes, a Hex Jingle underneath, or many other choices. 
 
The FX Post is small enough to leave on your drum and still have the drum fit in its case, and short enough so it doesn’t hinder your drum key for tuning.
 
We do not recommend using anything of substantial weight on the CP FX Post.  Products of an 8” or less diameter should fit without overtaking your playing area.
